The Pelicans

Where minnows minuet in wet
a muddy nestle of birds
rafts the river rapids.

A feather net of fishermen,
their grey leaves rustle
and lift

above the elephant clouds
where blueness steps high
over trees.

Where minnows minuet in wet

What a line.

rafts the river rapids.

Is this some sort of exercise?
you seem to be deliberately making particular sound formations with the words, or am I off base and its just whats coming?

It's just what's coming. I was listening to music as I wrote. Might have something to do with it. This was inspired by a Utube video of pelicans on a river in Canada.
