The mermaid has swallowed
the ocean. No ordinary child,
her thighs are deep in the sea,
juicy fish meat, scaled with salt.
Songs sob from her lips
in wordless croons
over the slip of tides.
She has sold her tongue
to the sea witch
for ten pearl toes.

God she could have got a better deal than that, although, 10 pearl toes would be kinda funky *smile*
What a gloriously magical and sad tale this is, it is beautiful
mmm, fairytales again, lol. Mermaids ... try googling images of mermaids and you get a whole lot of pictures of scary looking supposedly real mermaid remains. Quite interesting really. check it out.
I like this. She may know my Sirens.
